"We're looking for young software engineers who can grow as we grow. And stay to do great things."

Hello. We are Bimble, a brand new Oxford based startup. We're creating a new platform for people to create and share their own city micro guides. We tell you a little bit more about us at

We are offering a paid 3-6 month Developer Internship with the possibility, for the right candidate, of an extension to 12 months and beyond. The internship will start over Summer 2017 – in fact we’re ready as soon as you are. So if the opportunity to join a startup in the very early stages of its product development flicks your switch, we’d love to hear from you.

We'd be happy to consider applications from computer science undergraduates or people with suitable experience of coding in their spare time,  available in Oxford during the summer holidays so if you’re around and looking for some work then get in touch.

You'll be working under the watchful eye of our CTO Chris Thorpe who won't be expecting you to know it all. But if you have an appetite to learn voraciously, are constantly curious and often find yourself thinking about the best and better ways to do things – then you might find you like working at Bimble.

For skills you don't already have we will supply you with a login to Treehouse and time to learn the things you need.

Workflow will be varied but will include:

- Front end development - HTML, CSS and preprocessors, JavaScript and the development of a progressive web app including camera and GPS access

- Back end development - API design, data structure and querying, data science

- Building analytics and dashboard tools that let us see the health of our application and our users actions

- Deployment to the cloud and helping refine our development process and tools

If you know any of the following, that's even better.

- Python (we use the Flask framework)

- Consuming JSON based APIs

- Javascript

- node.js and npm

- CSS and LESS

- Semantic HTML markup

- Git

- Google Cloud

- Appengine, Firebase and Cloud Functions

Bimble is an equal opportunity employer and we value diversity. You must have the right to work in the UK. We are a Living Wage employer and the position is paid an annual equivalent of just over the Living Wage hourly rate.

We'd like to see an up-to-date copy of your CV (or a link to your LinkedIn) along with a letter of interest. You can email this to
