GrowCreate are looking for a talented UI/UX designer to produce outstanding digital experiences. You will design and program websites and apps, liaise with clients directly and organise and inspire the front-end team. This role is equally weighted between front-end design and programming.

Producing outstanding experiences is a core service, as our work combines technical complexity with beautiful UIs. To meet the level expected of them, the role will:

  • Design, implement and test websites, focusing on front-end design, interaction and usability
  • A solid understanding of user experience
  • Facilitate design sprints and discovery workshops
  • Code up intricate yet robust front-end code
  • Liaise with clients and the wider development team
  • Organise and inspire the team members

Primary accountabilities

The UI/UX web designer's primary responsibilities involve the following processes and deliverables:

  • Deliver high quality front-end design using Sketch
  • Develop the front-end code for websites and apps
  • Build client-side components with HTML5 technologies
  • Implement enhancements and fixes
  • Liaise and present directly with clients
  • Communicate effectively in both technical and business environments

Essential skills

  • Minimum 3 years of professional UI/UX web design and development, ideally in an agency environment
  • Production level HTML5, CSS/Sass, jQuery
  • Wire-framing / prototyping
  • Vanilla JavaScript, Angular, React or Vue
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Combining UI / UX design experience a big advantage
  • Knowledge of with agile,  .NET development or Umbraco/Episerver CMS and advantage
