Global Academic publishes books, journals and digital resources for the research, professional and higher education markets.


The UX Designer will contribute designs for our books and journals websites. You will set research objectives, create prototypes, interpret analytics and run design workshops to provide a robust UX analysis. Designs will be delivered with precise specification and documentation governing use within content management systems.


The role requires a deep knowledge of web and accessibility standards, and the ability to understand the use of complex information products. You will be a passionate UX practitioner who can communicate your designs and reasoning to many stakeholders in a busy publishing environment. In addition to your technical and analytical skills, you will be a strong visual designer with a focus on web typography.

  • Formal design / UX qualification (advantageous)
  • Experience of Academic publishing (advantageous)
